It all started in 2015, when Fabrice Hubert found himself bedridden after a disabling operation. Musician, he approaches his synthesizers, not to create but simply to touch them, to diffuse sounds and to focus his attention on something else. Against all expectations, the sounds it generates appease it. This experience was the trigger: how do sounds impact matter? Humans and their emotions? He then threw himself body and soul into a research and development process lasting 3 years, setting up a methodology to create sound environments allowing to reach a state of appeasement in less than 10 minutes. Ange Ghinozzi convinced by the effects produced, encourages him in this way and imagines outlets for this innovation. This is how together they create moooon.
They then cross paths with Antoine Deswartes, CEO of the Lille company HNL (Heart Never Lies) which has set up a tool to measure the emotional commitment of people exposed to a stimulus. Antoine, very intrigued by Moooon, offers them to compare their sounds to the music considered to be the most soothing in the world: that of Mozart. The sound environments were tested on individuals of different ages, genders and social conditions in controlled and uncontrolled environments. The results of the experiment showed that the sounds of Moooon were more calming than those of the “Mozart effect” in many cases. In addition, they found that these very abstract sounds worked with all types of people and not just those with knowledge of classical music and its Western codes. These results went beyond their expectations and it was the start of a new adventure for Ange and Fabrice, who decided to pursue the development of Moooon's sound environments with the medical world to support patients.
